I bought this for a friend who was having trouble learning her camera. She had her camera for a couple of years & just wasn't making the most of it. Being kind of a "newbie" to photography, she had a lot to learn, but frequently wasn't sure of what questions to ask to get where she wanted to be... knowledge-wise.I was so happy with the field guide he wrote for my Nikon D600, that I figured the equivalent guide would be helpful to her. She has LOVED it! She said it was so well laid-out and easy to understand, that she was learning stuff about her camera a record speed. She has come a long way & keeps learning cool stuff she can do with her camera... and photography. As someone who has enjoyed photography for decades, it's such a joy to watch her learn & discover through a well-written book to guide her. My friend is graduating up to a new camera now, and is passing this field guide down to her daughter. I'm sure she will also enjoy it and find it invaluable in learning the tricks her camera can offer-up!
